Barcelona City Council and Barcelona Activa SAU SPM are promoting the fifth edition of the Barcelona Sportstech Programme Award (BSTEP2025).

As part of the BSTEP programme, which aims to support innovative emerging enterprises in the sportstech and e-sports sector in validating their potential and feasibility, the BSTEP Programme Award (BSTEP2025) seeks to recognise the best project in each edition.

Companies participating in the programme and meeting the following requisites will be candidates for the award:

- Having a business idea in one of the following areas of the sports industry:

• Wearables

• E-sports

• Digital Training/Coaching

• Fantasy sport

• Sports marketplaces

• Software and apps based on physical activity data

• Tools for sports professionals

• Social platforms

• Generation of sports content

• Development of new materials

• Management tools for sports activities and/or events

- Have actively participated in the programme: attended of at least 75% of all training sessions and tutorials in the programme.

- Submit a OnePage document provided by Barcelona Activa as part of the application by the deadline of 25 June 2025.

- Submit an economic and financial plan provided by Barcelona Activa as part of the application by the deadline of 25 June 2025.

The price will be awarded as detailed below:

Winning project:

- Monetary award of €5,000.00.

To receive the award, the projects must have incorporated the enterprise as a for-profit trading company with tax domicile in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, where one of the partners must be the person who participated in the programme, within a maximum period of six months from the award.

Deadline: 25 June 2025, at 11:59 pm, using the Barcelona Activa email address. Any application submitted outside this period will not be accepted.
