Barcelona City Council

On 27 December 2023, the councillor of the Ciutat Vella district, making use of the powers delegated by the Mayor's Office, initially approved the specific rules for the 2024 edition of the first edition of the Poster Competition for the Festa Major del Raval in the Ciutat Vella district. 

In compliance with the provisions of article 124.2 of Decree 179/1995, of 13 June 1995, which approves the Regulation on local authority works, activities and services, the specific conditions are subject to public information for a period of five working days, starting on the day after the publication of this announcement, so that interested parties may examine the file and, if necessary, make any objections they deem appropriate. 

If no objections are submitted during the public information period, the specific conditions will be considered definitively approved.

The aim of this competition is to promote artistic creation and encourage the participation of professional and emerging artists in order to achieve a plural citizen collaboration and to spread the word about the neighbourhood's main festival.

Participation is open to both professionals and emerging artists over the age of 18.

The submission of proposals will be made exclusively in virtual format. Specifically, proposals must be sent to the e-mail address participaciocvella@bcn.cat. In the subject of the e-mail, you will have to state "CONCURS CARTELLS FESTA MAJOR DEL RAVAL” [Poster Competition for the Festa Major del Raval]

Participants may submit a maximum of three posters.

The submission period will open on 29 April 2024 and will end on 31 May 2024.

The verdict of the competition will be made public in June 2024 on the Ciutat Vella District website and will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona (BOPB, according to its Catalan acronym).
