The Youth Comic Award is an artistic creation competition that seeks to prevent and eliminate gender violence among teenagers and young people.
The competition is open to anybody under 25 years old who lives, studies or works in the city of Barcelona. Individual or collective applications are welcome, although participants will only be able to submit one work each, in just one of the following categories:
- Category A (comic): for people aged 16 to 25
- Category B (comic): for minors under the age of 16
The applicant’s age for the purpose of participating in any of the above categories is the age they will be on their birthday in the year of the call for submissions.
Schools, facilities and services for teenagers and young people in Barcelona can take part in the following category and may submit no more than one piece of work:
- Category C (fanzine)
Period for submitting applications: from 27 January to 22 April 2025 (inclusive).
Applications must be made according to the standard form, which will be available at barcelona.cat/premi-jove-comic-santmarti and at the virtual office of Barcelona City Council.
After submitting their application with all the relevant documents, applicants must email their work in digital format (.jpg, .tiff or .pdf, no larger than 15 MB), to premijovecomicsantmarti@bcn.cat by the application submission deadline.
