Barcelona City Council created the 2030 Agenda Barcelona Awards to recognise and promote innovative initiatives that have a measurable impact on the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the city.

There are two award categories in this year’s edition:

A. SDG CATEGORY

1. Award for an initiative focusing on people
2. Award for an initiative focusing on the planet
3. Award for an initiative focusing on prosperity
4. Award for an initiative focusing on peace
5. Award for an initiative focusing on partnerships

B. SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGES CATEGORY

1. Award for the best decarbonisation initiative led by a company
2. Award for the best decarbonisation initiative led by a non-profit organisation
3. Award for the best water-saving initiative led by a company
4. Award for the best water-saving initiative led by a non-profit organisation

Nominations and supporting documents must be submitted electronically, following the corresponding procedure, through the City Council’s e-Register.

Submission of applications: from October 24 to December 19, 2024, both dates inclusive.

Submission of applications (extended deadline): from December 24, 2024, to January 22, 2025, both dates inclusive.
