Barcelona City Council

This grant call is aimed at establishments open to the public or that promote a culture which currently possesses or is in the process of obtaining a live music license, as well as establishments wishing to conduct noise impact studies to gauge the requirements for obtaining a live music permit or licence.

This call is structured into two modalities in accordance with the following types of establishments:

• Modality A: small-format venues with a capacity of fewer than 150 people, cultural dissemination centres or other similar venues (live music establishments, bars, cafeterias, restaurants or others) that wish to adapt the premises to stage amplified live music performances.
   
• Modality B: medium and large-format venues, such as concert halls, banquet halls, music bars, discotheques or similar, with a capacity of 150 people or more, that want to stage performances of amplified live music.
   

These subsidies are available to individuals or incorporated legal entities responsible for managing the venues that benefit from the subsidies, with the corresponding activity license, where applicable.

Each applicant may present only one grant application for each venue that they own or manage.

Ineligibility for the grants:

• In the case of works or measures to comply with regulations and other improvement works, individuals or incorporated legal entities that manage municipally-owned venues, publicly-owned cultural institutions or cultural facilities run as a public consortium are excluded from applying for these subsidies.

In order to apply for the subsidies, the applicants must meet and provide evidence of meeting the following requirements, among others:

• The investments referred to in condition 2 must have been carried out in 2024 or must be carried out in 2025 and must be completed before 30 September 2025. 
   
• The establishment must be located within the municipal district of Barcelona.
   

The deadline for submitting applications will be fifteen business days starting from the day after the call for applications is published in the BOPB.

For legal entities, in accordance with article 14 of Act 39/2015 of 1 October on the common administrative procedure of the public administrations, it is mandatory to complete and submit the application via the Online Procedures Office on Barcelona City Council’s e-office, following the instructions indicated on this portal.

Individuals should preferably submit their applications via the Online Procedures Office, don Barcelona City Council’s e-office, although they may also hand it in at any Barcelona City Council register office.
