The purpose of this call is to award subsidies through competitive bidding for projects of any cultural discipline that are of interest to the city, exceptional, unique, and non-periodic, or those that are being promoted for the first time and that will be carried out between 1 January and 31 December 2025 in the city of Barcelona.

Due to their unique and exceptional nature, these activities and proposals promoted by the city's cultural sector provide a special significance and impact in their field, as well as an additional effort beyond the ordinary activity of the organising body, which is why this call aims to support this type of project, as well as those that are being promoted for the first time.

• Category 1: Anniversaries, special events and celebrations

• Category 2: new projects or first editions. 

• Category 3: Strategic projects of an extraordinary nature

All persons covered by Article 14 of Act 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Authorities, it is mandatory to complete and submit the application and all the other formalities associated with the subsidy-award procedure through the City Council’s e-Headquarters following the instructions given on this procedures portal. 

All applicants, except for natural persons, are required to submit the application online. Online submissions are also preferable for natural persons and other parties. In the exceptional case of in-person submissions, notwithstanding Article 16 of Act 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Authorities, these documents may be presented at any of the General Registry offices in the districts, any municipal manager’s office or any municipal institute.

The deadline for submitting applications is 15 working days from the day after this call for applications is published.
