The aim behind this call is to regulate the granting of subsidies for investments in renovating cultural centres, understood as theatre-display facilities, auditoriums or similar membership-based facilities in Barcelona and their provision of technical equipment for the years 2023 and 2024, for the adaptation of such equipment to the regulations on crowded public spaces in aspects of safety, fire-prevention measures, accessibility and sound-proofing, as well as the provision of technical equipment.

Legal persons in charge of managing the facilities stated in Rule 1 of the regulations may be beneficiaries of this subsidy.

Excluded cases: Membership-based socio-cultural organisations managing municipally owned spaces are excluded.

The application must be completed and submitted, under Article 14 of Act 39/2015, of 1 October, on the common administrative procedure of public authorities, through the Virtual Procedures Office at Barcelona City Council’s e-headquarters.

The application period is from 27 June to 3 pm, 18 July 2023
