Barcelona City Council

The goal of these competitive grants is to support privately managed theatre venues in Barcelona, helping them to offer an ongoing programme of professional performing arts shows (theatre, dance and circus) for 2025 and thereby fostering the creation, production and promotion of performing arts in Barcelona and enhancing the network of professional spaces for theatre, dance and circus in the city.

This call for grant applications is open to natural and legal persons who are the owners or official managers of professional theatre venues in the city of Barcelona.

Categories: 

• Category A: Theatre venues with a capacity of 400 seats or more
• Category B: Theatre venues with a capacity of 400 seats or less

The deadline for submitting applications is 15 working days from the day after this call for applications is published.

The application form must be filled in and submitted via City Council’s virtual office, following the instructions provided on this procedures portal. All persons covered by Article 14 of Act 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Authorities, must fill in and submit their application and all the other formalities associated with the grant-award procedure through the City Council’s virtual office following the instructions given on this procedures portal.

All applicants, except for natural persons, are required to submit the application online.

Online submissions are also preferable in the case of natural persons and other parties. In the exceptional case of in-person submissions, notwithstanding Article 16 of Act 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Authorities, these documents may be presented at any of the General Registry offices in the districts, any municipal manager’s office or any municipal institute.
