The aim of the “Impulsem el que fas” [We promote what you do] programme of subsidies for the socio-economic promotion of the territory is to boost local economic development in the neighbourhoods and districts of the city of Barcelona, fostering the actions of local socio-economic agents who, by taking advantage of the assets and opportunities of the territories, respond to the needs and challenges of the citizens and the socio-economic fabric of these same territories.

The programme includes financial support in the following eight categories linked to strategic economic challenges and sectors of the city: 

• Category 1A: Economic activity in empty ground-floor premises and market stalls.
• Category 1B: Economic activity in municipally owned ground-floor premises.
• Category 1C: Economic diversification and protection of local shops and businesses in EGA areas.
• Category 2: Social economy and other initiatives in the impact economy.
• Category 3: Creating high-quality employment in the local area.
• Category 4: Social innovation and technology in the care economy for ageing.
• Category 5: Sustainable food and responsible consumption.
• Category 6: Dones Lidera. Women entrepreneurs, professionals and directors 

Individuals or legal entities may apply for and/or benefit from the subsidies when the circumstances set out in the call for applications for each category and sub-category are met. 

Applications must be submitted online through a secure app, protected by username and password. This application, hosted by Barcelona Activa, will contain the form for collecting data and the subsidy management application, which will generate the standard application form. 

Once the governing rules and the call for applications have been definitively approved, the application submission period will open, and it will remain open until 15 July 2025 (inclusive).
