This grant call is aimed at establishments open to the public or cultural dissemination centres that currently have or are in the process of obtaining a live music licence, as well as establishments wishing to conduct noise-impact studies to determine the requirements for obtaining a live music permit or licence.

This call is structured into two modalities in accordance with the following types of establishments:

• Modality A – Small venues with a capacity of fewer than 150 people, cultural dissemination centres or other similar venues (live music establishments, bars, cafés, restaurants or others) wishing to adapt the premises to provide amplified live music performances, including Cultura Viva spaces.
• Modality B – Medium and large venues, such as concert halls, banquet halls, music bars, nightclubs or similar, with a capacity of 150 people or more, wishing to stage performances of amplified live music, including Cultura Viva spaces.

These subsidies are open to individuals or incorporated legal entities that manage the beneficiary venues and, where applicable, hold the corresponding activity licence.

Each applicant may submit only one grant application for each venue that they own or manage.

Exclusions from this call: 

• In the case of works or measures to comply with regulations and other improvement works, individuals or incorporated legal entities that manage municipally owned venues, publicly owned cultural institutions or cultural facilities run as a public consortium are excluded from applying for these subsidies.  

To be eligible for the subsidies, applicants must meet and provide evidence of the following requirements: 

1. Category A:
2. The investments mentioned in Condition 2 must have been carried out during 2025 or must begin in 2025 and be completed by 30 September 2026.
3. The establishment must be located within the municipal district of Barcelona.
4. The space must operate or be adapted as a small venue as defined in Section 5.a. 

1. Category B:
2. The investments mentioned in Condition 2 must have been carried out during 2025 or must begin in 2025 and be completed by 30 September 2026.
3. The establishment must be located within the municipal district of Barcelona.
4. The space must operate or be adapted as a medium or large venue as defined in Section 5.b. 

Requirements applicable to both modalities: 

• In the case of projects aimed at obtaining the necessary authorisation to carry out the activity, the new activity must be compatible with the proposed location in urban planning terms.
• The project must not have receiver any other subsidies from the Institute of Culture.

For legal entities, in accordance with Article 14 of Act 39/2015 of 1 October on the Common Administrative Procedure for Public Administrations, the application must be completed and submitted via the Online Procedures Office on Barcelona City Council’s e-office, following the instructions provided on the portal.

For individuals who are not required to interact with the Administration electronically, applications should preferably be submitted via the Virtual Procedures Office on Barcelona City Council's e-office, although they may also be submitted at any Barcelona City Council registration office.  

The application period will begin on the day following the date of publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona and will end on 8 September 2025.
