Barcelona City Council

The goal of this campaign is to award subsidies, on a competitive basis, until the budget appropriation has been spent, with the aim of making the City of Barcelona's economic activities more competitive, digital, accessible and able to respond to people's new expectations for acquiring safe, sustainable and environmentally-efficient products and services, by providing support for investment projects.

 Investment projects eligible for subsidy are considered to be those whose objective is to introduce, expand or improve the installations or operations of commercial economic activities, services, catering, night-time leisure or touristic accommodation located in the City of Barcelona. The investment projects that apply for a subsidy must have been carried out or be carried out within the time period dating from the start of the state of alert, on 14 March 2020, to 31 December 2021 (including those days), and must comply with the conditions and requirements described in sections 3, 6, 7 and 8 of this Call for Applications. 

The beneficiaries of these subsidies may include natural or legal persons who own an economic activity concerning commerce, services, catering, night-time leisure or tourist accommodation, located in the City of Barcelona; in the case of housing for touristic use (HUTs), only management companies that comply with the conditions and requirements described in the Call for Applications may apply.

 For legal persons and natural persons who are obliged to communicate electronically with the Administration, due to Article 14 of Act 39/2015, of 1 October, concerning common administrative procedures for public administrations, the procedure must be carried out using telematic means. 

The application period starts on 10 August and ends on 17 September 2021 (both dates inclusive).

The deadline for submitting the justification will be March 31, 2022, and must be submitted by electronic procedure for legal entities and in person / online for individuals in the General Register of the City Council indicating the name of this Call.
