Connectivity to Civic Centres
Reference framework
The framework for the civic centres’ functional programme prepared by Barcelona City Council’s Institute of Culture (ICUB) includes a diagnosis and a requirement to improve the 51 Civic Centres’ telecommunications and connectivity, to achieve a minimum level of ICT facilities and connectivity.
Description
The project consists of providing:
- Connectivity through municipal fibre optics at 15 Civic Centres (the ones that already have Fibre Optics in their buildings)
- Procuring commercial fibre (FTTH or ADSL) for the other 36 Centres
- Support and maintenance services for the 51 centres’ local networks
- Wi-Fi Services
