Barcelona Llibres and the Barcelona LGTBI Centre are giving away three copies of the new book ‘Darrere les persianes’.

Within the framework of LGTBI Pride Day on 28 June, Barcelona Llibres and the Barcelona LGTBI Centre are celebrating the publication of the new book ‘Darrere les persianes’ [Behind the Blinds] with a promotional campaign on Instagram.

Within the framework of LGTBI Pride Day on 28 June, Barcelona Llibres and the Barceona LGTBI Centre are celebrating the publication of the new book Darrere les persianes with a promotional campaign on Instagram.

Darrere les persianes [Behind the Blinds] is the latest graphic novel in the collection “Barcelona en Vinyetes” [Barcelona in Vignettes], from Barcelona Llibres, which tells the untold story of lesbians in Barcelona through the eyes of two young students. A book devised by Maria Giralt, with text by Isabel Franc and illustrations by Rosa Navarro.

The graphic novel has been available in book shops since the start of the month and it will be presented at the Barcelona LGBTI Centre on Thursday 20 June at 6.00 pm. Participating in the event will be the authors of the book, Maio Serrasolsas, transfeminist artist and lesbian activist, and Javier Rodríguez Núnez, Commissioner for Children, Adolescents, Youth and LGTBI Policies.

On Wednesday 19 June, the day before the book launch event, we’ll be announcing the winners of the three copies of the book. If you would like to win one of them, you can take part in the campaign on social media, under the following rules.

INSTAGRAM

Participation

– You need to have an Instagram account and meet the following requisites:
*Over 14 years old.
*Resident in the Spanish state.
*Participate using a real and active Instagram account, with no anomalies and unable to be considered as having been created with the sole purpose of taking part. For this reason only profiles with a profile photo will be eligible to take part. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify profiles. Those with seemingly abusive or badly intended behaviour will be excluded. Where any sign of false identities or fraudulent use exists, the organisers reserve the right to immediately exclude the participating profile, unilaterally and without the need for notification or justification.
*Follow the Instagram accounts of Barcelona Llibres (www.instagram.com/barcelonallibres) and the Barcelona LGTBI Centre (www.instagram.com/barcelonalgtbi).
*Click on “like” for the post explaining the promotion.
*Comment on the publication and mention three Instagram users in one single comment (only one comment per participant will be taking into account).

– Responses that are discriminatory, offensive, insulting or which are disparaging towards a person/act or an event/institution/city, and any responses that disseminate political propaganda or ideas, attitudes or actions that are xenophobic, racist, discriminatory on the grounds of race, sex, belief or religion, or which are generally offensive or violate human rights, will be disqualified.

– The promotion will follow Instagram rules.

Mechanical

– Details of how to take part in the campaign and how the three winners of the books will be chosen can be found in the specific joint publication on the Instagram accounts of Barcelona Llibres and the Barcelona LGTBI Centre. Deadlines (the closing date and date the winning profile will be announced) will also be included in the publication.
– The winning profiles will be chosen through the extension AppSorteos for Google and the winners will be announced on Instagram on Wednesday 19 June.
– You can take part in the campaign from the moment it is published until 23.59 on 18 June 2024.
– The selected profiles will be contacted via direct message on Instagram to ask them for their personal details.
– The winners will be able to collect their book at the launch event for the graphic novel on Thursday 20 June at 6.00 pm at the Barcelona LGTBI Centre. Alternatively, they can also pick up their prize from the book shop Llibreria Sala Ciutat, Carrer de la Ciutat, 2, in Barcelona, within two months, from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 2 pm and from 3 pm to 8 pm, and Saturdays, 10 am to 2 pm.

Award
– The three winning profiles will each get a copy of the book Darrere les persianes from Barcelona Llibres.
