The OMIC continues to provide its services to the public electronically and through the 010 phone service. Claims and enquiries will continue to be preferably dealt with online. For those inquiries or complaints that require face-to-face attention, you must make an appointment in advance on the municipal procedures portal ajuntament.barcelona.cat/cita/omic, by calling 010, or at the Municipal Procedures Kiosk.
Grants
Every year, Barcelona City Council makes a call for grants for district and city projects, services and activities.
This year’s edition once again envisages a section (line T, pages 51 and 52) on "projects for the expansion and revitalisation of the base of society and the promotion of informed, safe and sustainable consumption by consumer associations". Therefore the only applicants are active consumer organisations registered in the general section of the Register of Consumer Organisations of Catalonia, whose main aim and activity includes handling claims and mediating in disputes relating to consumer relations, as well as assisting people in person and/or online (plus other channels).
The amount allocated for these grants is €50,000.
The maximum amounts to be awarded may not exceed 50% of the total amount of the project, up to a maximum of €8,000.
Social and environmental criteria
In addition, social and environmental criteria in projects have also been taken into account this year and supported through the general call for grants. These are set out in detail in the section on assessment criteria.
