Summary of records
This table serves to identify and organise the documentary holdings of different kinds and origins that are under the safekeeping and responsibility of the Barcelona Municipal Archive centres.
The Summary of Records establishes the criteria for identifying, organising and codifying the fonds held at the AMB centres, depending on where they come from.
The coding and identification of the funds is registered in the Funds Records, a tool that we use to keep the funds and document collections that are received in any of the Barcelona Municipal Archive centres. In the Funds Records we can find the details of all the funds that are kept in the Archives by following the structure that indicates the Summary of records: Municipal Funds, Institutional Funds, Private Funds and Collections. Regarding the Private Funds, they are subdivided into family, personal, companies and cooperatives, and entities.
