Barcelona neighbourhoods historical research conference
The Arxiu Municipal de Barcelona organises a biennial conference on historical research relating to the city’s neighbourhoods. The goal is to establish a single forum which brings together researchers from study centres, archivists and members of the public interested in discovering first-hand the main research being conducted, and finding out about the documentary resources on the history of the city offered by Barcelona City Council. The organisation of this event is part of the collaboration that the Municipal Archive has maintained with the neighbourhood study centres over the years, particularly through the network of district municipal archives. Since its first edition, the conference has been held with the collaboration of the Institut Ramon Muntaner (IRMU) and the Coordinadora de Centres d’Estudis de Parla Catalana (CCEPC), the two main local research institutions in Catalonia.
