Challenges and opportunities for local research in Barcelona
On Saturday 17 June 2017, El Born CCM hosted the first meeting on the challenges and opportunities for local research in Barcelona at the time. The experiences of research centres and researchers on the history of neighbourhoods plus municipal resources - archives - were shared. Journalist Joan Àngel Frigola outlined the recent trajectory of local research, and M. Carme Jiménez and Josep Santesmases presented the Institut Ramon Muntaner and the Coordinadora de Centres d’Estudis de Parla Catalana as entities providing support and assistance to organisations.
