The 2025 International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women campaign focused on gender violence in the digital sphere, a growing problem that is often invisible and difficult to detect. Digital environments foster anonymity and a lack of consequences, facilitating persistent, escalating attacks and increased vulnerability.

The data reflect this situation: 82.7% of young women aged 16 to 29 have experienced digital violence, and 88% of women who have experienced cyberviolence don’t report it.

The goal of the 2025 campaign has been to encourage collective reflection on the need to create safe, violence-free, trust-based digital environments.

The project is part of a commitment to strengthening the response to digital gender violence, shedding light on this form of violence, preventing it and promoting the well-being and protection of young women in the digital sphere.
