CicloBCN21 opens the deadline for submitting communications and pre-enrolling

06/04/2021 - 19:45 h

CICLOBCN21 will be adopting a face-to-face format, with all the necessary safety measures guaranteed, according to how the pandemic develops, and COVID-19 protocols in place at all times. A virtual platform will also be set up for anyone who wishes to follow the three congresses online. Two types of registration fees will be published later on: face to face and online.

You can register for all or any of the three congresses:

EuroVelo Cycling Tourism Conference 2021
5 and 6 October

7th Catalonia International Bicycle Congress and
18th Iberian “Bicycles and Cities” Congress
7 and 8 October

You can pre-enrol for it through the following form

Pre-enrol now and when the registration period opens you will be given priority for the face-to-face version’s registration.

Communication-submission rules

Maximum length of the summary: 300 words. Once the communication has been selected, you will be asked to submit a document with fuller detail.
Summary’s languages: the summary will have to be presented in English if it is for the EuroVelo Cycling Tourism Conference 2021, and in Catalan, Spanish or English if it is for the 7th International Congress or the 18th Iberian Bicycles and Cities Congress.

Even so, the submission language will depend on the simultaneous-translation service that is offered in each room.

Each congress is organising its own presentations in thematic areas:

6 October: EuroVelo Cycling Tourism Conference:

1. Health, sustainable tourism and sport

2. Infrastructures, research and innovation

3. Economy, value chain and communication

7 October: 7th International Congress and 18th Iberian Congress

1.Towards 100% cyclable cities and regions

2. Boosting the economy and knowledge

3. Promoting, monitoring and governance

8 October: 7th International Congress and 18th Iberian Congress

1. Cities and regions of the people

2. Ecology, health and sport

3. Cyclist communities and participation

Each thematic area considers subthemes (check them out on this link) to make it more comprehensive, although these subthemes do not determine the communication’s theme.

You will need to fill in the following formula, specifying the congress that the communication is being submitted for.
