The sequences of music, water and coloured lights at the Magic Fountain and the fountains in Av. Reina Maria Cristina, suspended since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, are back as from 1 April.

Following the complete halt in 2020, the Magic Fountain in Montjuïc made a return last year as an ornamental fountain for a few hours a day, from 11 am to 1 pm and from 1 pm to 4 pm, Tuesday to Saturday, and from 11 am to 3 pm on Sundays. The fountain was out of service for maintenance work during the first three months of this year. But the sequences of water, colours and music are back again as from 1 April, making for some spectacular Monjuïc nights.

Displays will be given every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 9 pm to 10 pm. The shows will be starting half and hour later between June and September, with displays on Wednesdays and Sundays too. The sequences at the Magic Fountain during the winter are from Thursday to Saturday, from 8 pm to 9 pm.

The fountain has around 7 billion possible water and light combinations, thanks to the hydraulic elements and lighting options available. The displays are accompanied by the upper and lower water cascades in Plaça de Josep Puig i Cadafalch and the decorative fountains in Av. Reina Maria Cristina, which will also be operating as usual as from 1 April.
