Obrim Carrers (Open Streets) not taking place on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Obrim Carrers, which takes place every weekend at the junction of Sants - Creu Coberta and on Carrer Gran de Gràcia, will not take place on Sunday 25 December or 1 January. The initiative will take place at the usual time (9 am to 8 pm) on Saturday 24 and 31 December.
The Christmas holidays mean changes have to be made to this initiative, which each weekend closes these streets to vehicles and transforms them into spaces for pedestrians, who can stroll along them, do their shopping in local shops, carry out an activity or simply enjoy public space without fumes and noise.
So on Saturday 24 December (Christmas Eve) and 31 December (New Year’s Eve) Carrer Gran de Gràcia and Carrer Sants – Creu Coberta will hold the Open Streets during the usual hours, from 9 am to 8 pm, while on 25 December (Christmas Day) and 1 January (New Year’s Day), the initiative will not take place and vehicles will be allowed to access the streets.
