Disruptions to mobility for the Three Kings Parade 2024

The arrival of the Three Kings and their entourage on Friday, 5 January, and the parade that then takes them around part of the city, means some road closures and disruptions, mainly in the districts of Ciutat Vella, L’Eixample and Sants-Montjuïc.
Some restrictions started on Wednesday: as from yesterday, parking has been prohibited in a section of Rda. Sant Pau and C/ Comte d’Urgell. As from Thursday, restrictions also apply in various sections of C/ Tamarit. Between 6 am and 7 am on Friday, 5, parking will be prohibited in Av. Marquès d’Argentera, Pl. Idrissa Diallo and Correus, some sections of Pg. Isabel II, Pla de Palau, Av. Paral·lel, Rda. Sant Pau, C/ Comte d’Urgell, Pl. Espanya, Av. Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia and Av. Reina Maria Cristina.
As for traffic circulation, as from Thursday the side of Pg. Circumval·lació nearest the mountains will be closed to vehicles, extending to both sides as from 1.30 pm on Friday. The rest of the traffic restrictions mainly apply from 5 pm on Friday, until 9.30 pm: Av. Marquès de l’Argentera, Pg. Isabel II, Pg. Colom, Av. Paral·lel, Rda. Sant Pau, C/ Urgell, C/ Sepúlveda, Av. Paral·lel, Pl. Espanya, Av. Reina Maria Cristina and C/ Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia. Exit 21 at the port area will also be closed.
Specific restrictions will also apply to some means of transport: from 4 pm to 10 pm on Friday, lorries over 3.5 tonnes will be unable to circulate anywhere in the city, except for public service vehicles. From 1 pm the same day, all Bicing stations along the route of the parade will also be out of service.
Bus services affected
Various bus services will be affected, with their routes limited or diversions in place between 4 pm and 9.30 pm on Friday: D20, D50, H12, H14, H16, V9, V11, V13, V15, V17, V19, 13, 21, 23, 46, 47, 52, 55, 59, 65, 79, 91, 109, 120, 121, 141, 150, 165 and the red and blue routes of the Bus Turístic service. Extra metro services will be running on Friday to make it easier for people to get around.
Participation in the welcome and around the parade route
Besides planning and executing the police operation, the City Police will be taking part in the parade as they do every year, with various members of the Mounted Unit accompanying the Three Kings from the welcome ceremony to the starting point and then opening the parade route.
