Carrer Mandri closed for work on the L9 and L10 metro station
04/01/2024 - 11:30 h
As from 8 January, the section of C/ Mandri between Pg. Bonanova and C/ Bigai will be completely closed to traffic due to construction work on the future metro station.
Work is progressing on the L9 and L10 metro lines promoted by the Catalan government’s Ministry for Territory. As from Monday, 8 January, until roughly the end of September 2025, the excavation of the future station in C/ Mandri means the section of the street between Pg. Bonanova and C/ Bigai will be completely closed to traffic.
Traffic heading downhill will be diverted along Pg. Bonanova and the streets of Muntaner and Bigai. The recommended diversion for traffic heading uphill will be via Rda. General Mitre and C/ Ganduxer, or using the streets of Maó, Ganduxer and Pg. Bonanova.
Traffic accessing or exiting C/ Mandri will need to do so via the junction with C/ Bigai, which will be solely available for local residents to access parking and for emergency and services vehicles. The loading and unloading space in this section will be moved to the previous section of the same street, specifically the side of the junction with C/ Maó nearest the sea. The waste containers in the area in question will also be transferred.
In the same vein, V13 and N8 bus services heading uphill will be diverted, as will the V11 and 70 services heading downhill. The V13 and N8 services will use C/ Prats de Molló, Rda. General Mitre, C/ Ganduxer and Pg. Bonanova before rejoining their usual route. The V11 and 70 services will change their route to use Pg. Bonanova, C/ Muntaner and C/ Bigai before rejoining their usual route along C/ Mandri. As a result, the bus-stops along this section of C/ Mandri will be out of service.
The work will also affect the services lane and parking at C/ Bigai with C/ Muntaner and the direction of lanes in Rda. General Mitre.
