The works consist in the opening of three new streets and the project is scheduled for completion in March 2025.

The urban redevelopment of the Colorantes-Renfe sector in the Sant Andreu district, which will begin on 31 July, will enable the opening of three new streets: the mountain-side road Andana de l’Estació, Estefania de Requesens and Valentí Iglesias, as well as the execution of all the urban and service supply networks. The plans also include the paving, signposting and landscaping of the green areas and parterres, as well as the installation of urban furniture and children’s play areas.

The project also includes the development of the interior of the block of the future buildings which will become a space exclusively for pedestrians, featuring interior paths, resting areas and a play area.

On Carrer Palomar, between the mountain-side road and Carrer Fernando Pessoa, and the pavement on the sea-side of Carrer Fernando Pessoa, between Carrer Palomar and Estefania de Requesens, service networks and urban networks will be incorporated and the area will be landscaped and pieces of urban furniture installed. In these sections a bike lane will be created which will be segregated from the pavement and separated from the road. Also, the bike lane on Carrer Fernando Pessoa will be extended from Carrer d’Estefania de Requesens to Carrer Joan Torras.

Finally, the plans include the construction of a 220 metre section of road tunnel for accessing the future La Sagrera Station, of which only the structure and the drainage system will be executed, while the surfacing, installations and finishes will be completed during a subsequent phase of the redevelopment project.
