The metro will be offering an uninterrupted Saturday-night-Sunday-morning service as from 26 June.

Metro trains will be resuming their usual Saturday-night-Sunday-morning services under an uninterrupted-operations timetable, as from 26 June. PROCICAT has removed its night-time leisure restrictions, which means the metro’s pre-pandemic uninterrupted metro service can resume.

The FGC railway and TRAM services will also be maintaining their usual Friday and Saturday timetables, with services continuing up to 2 am. The AMB Nitbus [Night bus], which covers 18 metropolitan municipalities and the Catalan government’s night-time inter-city bus lines will also continue their usual services.

Wearing masks will remain mandatory on public transport

Given the pandemic-data improvements and the good pace of vaccinations, wearing masks will stop being mandatory as of Saturday, 26 June, for individuals travelling privately on their own or interacting only with their own household bubble.

This measure does not affect public transport, so wearing masks will remain mandatory throughout the transport network for everyone over the age of 6.

On the other hand, given the relaxation of the emergency situation, measure will be no longer apply, as of 1 July, on metro, railway and tram services that had a centralised door-opening system. Passengers wishing to enter or leave vehicles will therefore have to push the corresponding button. As from that date too, exit-validations will resume at FGC railway stations.

Special public transport services

Because of the Sant Cugat and Rubí festa majors or big annual festivals, the FGC will also be providing an uninterrupted service on the S1 line for four nights, from 25 to 28 June. Likewise, the Terrassa festa major is expected to see the S1 line provide an hourly service on the nights of the 2 and 3 July.
