The new entrance to the Moll de Mestral wharf eliminates barriers and changes in levels

The Olympic Port is being transformed. The new entrance to the Moll de Mestral wharf is now open, offering an access road for pedestrians and vehicles which does away with barriers and changes in levels, directly connecting the space with Av. Litoral.
The new entrance is the starting point for a new mobility system within the port, which will also mean the creation of ample pedestrian spaces for the public. It will also enable vehicles to directly access the BSM Litoral Port car park, which comes into service in the middle of 2024. The work began in July 2022 and involved a budget of 3.6 million euros.
The ramp currently used by vehicles entering the port from C/ Marina will be dismantled at the end of the year, freeing up 1,000 m2 of space. Early in 2024, the Moll de Mestral wharf will become an open space of 8,000 m2 with greenery, shade and meeting spaces for members of the public, users at the port and people from the companies based at this blue economy hub. Activities will also be organised at the port throughout the year, making the Olympic Port a living environment committed to nautical dissemination, sport, community and business activity in the vicinity.
