Mitigation

The objective is to decelerate global warming. To this end, Barcelona is working on a process of energy transition and a change in city model.  

Action is being taken to foster energy saving and increase energy efficiency, to renovate buildings and to achieve greater production of local, renewable energy. We are also promoting more sustainable mobility, where priority is given to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. This is why the general public has a vital role to play in the fight against climate change.
