“Temporals” is a travelling programme of contemporary art exhibitions across Barcelona’s neighbourhoods, presented within the city’s network of civic and cultural centres. It aims to create artistic initiatives and experiences that engage city residents and establish a dialogue with the local surroundings of the civic and cultural centres that host them. 

“Temporals” is a cultural programme that aims, on the one hand, to establish a stable, high-quality programme of exhibitions in the city’s neighbourhoods and, on the other, to support Barcelona’s cultural and artistic sector.

For the 2026–2027 edition of the “Temporals” programme, grants are available for a total of five individual or collective projects and two curatorial projects.

This grant call for the “Temporals” exhibition programme is open to artists and curators residing in the Barcelona metropolitan area, who may work individually or collectively, either as legal entities or as unincorporated groups.

In that respect, applicants are required to have some connection to the city, whether through being born here, having studied in Barcelona or the surrounding area, or simply through relevant personal or professional experience in the city.

Authors must be natural persons aged eighteen or over.

In the case of unincorporated groups, each member must meet the requirements outlined in this call to be eligible for an award. Once the jury's decision has been announced, the group must designate in a joint document which member will receive the grant amount. 

Projects need not be new works, although the calls may include assessment criteria that favour proposals not recently exhibited within the Barcelona Metropolitan Area.

The application period runs from 8 October to 7 November 2025.
