Barcelona City Council

The purpose of the call is to award multi-annual subsidies through a public competition, within the limits established in the municipal budget, to carry out projects in the sphere of community action in the city of Barcelona between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2026. 

The main goal of the projects that the subsidies are for must be to achieve social inclusion and cohesion, and they must be carried out through community action fostering social relations, belonging, cooperation and community network-building between members of a certain common space, that strengthen the social fabric and associations as an element of social and community promotion, and introduce the values of associations and volunteering, taking into account the description of the model of community action promoted by the conceptual, strategic and operational framework of Barcelona City Council Community Action. 

Projects to be subsidised will have to foster activities of public or social interest that are intended to transform:

• Empowerment of the community.
• Improvement of living conditions (responding to needs).
• Social inclusion or cohesion.

The subsidies are available to non-profit legal entities that are legally constituted and active, based in or with an office in the city of Barcelona, and which must carry out the planned activity to obtain the award in accordance with the requisites established in the third section of the terms and conditions.

Application forms must be filled in and submitted via the City Council’s virtual office (http://www.bcn.cat/tramits), following the instructions provided on this procedures portal.

The application submission period is 15 working days, starting the day after the call announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona.
