Sunday, 24 October sees the return of the 22nd Vueling Barcelona Fire Brigade Fun Run, a year after its cancellation as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is adapted this year to the new health reality but with the same enthusiasm as always for sharing a participatory and recreational day of sport, with Barcelona’s fire fighters, representing a much-loved brigade in the city. A sustainable and solidarity fun run, a whole day of celebration.

The registration period for the 22nd Vueling Barcelona Fire Brigade Fun Run is now open, with limited places, from the fun run’s website.

The Vueling Barcelona Fire Brigade Fun Run aims to cover the city this year, with the slogan “Tornem per córrer junt(e)s” [We’re back running together] this 2021, following a year full of challenged, and set on joining forces and returning as much as possible to normal in sport in the city.

Barcelona City Council and SevenMila, the fun run’s executive management, have set themselves two goals as a maximum priority: the safety of the athletes and the recovery of sports life in the city. That is why registration numbers are limited and, if the pandemic situation so permits, there will be a gradual increase in the number of runners able to set off on the Vueling Barcelona Fire Brigade Fun Run this coming 24 October.

Vueling joins the Fire Brigade Fun Run as its main sponsor

The Vueling Barcelona Fire Brigade Fun Run 2021 will enjoy support from Vueling. The airline is joining as the fun run’s main sponsor, adding its name to the event, now known as the “Vueling Barcelona Barcelona Fire Brigade Fun Run” to strengthen its links to sport, our city’s fire fighters and Barcelona, the airline’s strategic destination where it has its central headquarters. That way Vueling aims to reactivate Barcelona as a sports destination.
