Get active in the parks
“Activa’t” [Get Active] is the name of an outdoor physical exercise and health programme available in various Barcelona parks and gardens. It encourages people to do physical exercise to improve their health, maintain an active lifestyle, psychologically and socially, feel in better condition and reduce the risk of illness, while enjoying the city's green spaces.
This program is carried out throughout the year, with the exception of August and holidays, and combines two types of activities:
- Oriental gymnastics: Tai chi and Chi kung, which consist of a series of easy, harmonic movements combining respiration, mental concentration and movement.
- Motor skills and memory: They offer exercises with movements to stimulate the most relevant cognitive faculties, especially memory.
