The City Police received the “Recycle the Night” award for collaboration with venues in the nightlife sector. The award by the National Federation of Entrepreneurs for Leisure and Shows was given in a gala on Wednesday, 13 March, at the Sala B (district of Sarrià - Sant Gervasi).

The award was collected by the inspector Francesc Màrquez. The gala was also attended by the Deputy Mayor for Safety, Prevention and Coexistence, Albert Batlle.

The “Recycle the Night” awards reached their seventh edition this year, recognising the most notable and important projects, initiatives and campaigns for promoting the social, economic and environmental sustainability of the nightlife sector.

This is the second safety award linked to nightlife in recent months, as Barcelona City Council received the Golden Moon Award for its management of the seafront in Barceloneta. The award was given at the ninth edition of the International Nightlife Congress and fourth Spanish Nightlife Congress, held in Barcelona.
