Introduction to the conservation-restoration of archival documents
What kind of documentation can we find in the Municipal Archives of Barcelona? And how do we carry out its preservation? What conservation and restoration work is carried out in the workshop of an archive center?
Based on the explanations of the curator Adela Martínez of the Contemporary Municipal Archives of Barcelona, we will discover the importance of preventive conservation on the city’s documentary heritage in order to avoid the risks that may affect its degradation.
