Removal of the public tributes from La Rambla
On the night of 28 August, a start was made on removing the items, messages, flowers and candles that city residents and visitors had left on La Rambla in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack. Cleaning teams, in coordination with Barcelona Municipal Archives and History Museum (MUHBA) technical staff, carefully collected, identified and stored the tributes so that it will soon be possible to prepare a sample of this spontaneous display of condolence.
