First decrees signed for the 2023-2027 term of office

The Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, has signed the first decrees to set up the new municipal government and define the initial political structure of the City Council, which will be completed with the approval of the full municipal organisational structure in the coming weeks.
The new municipal government will have four deputy mayorships.
- First Deputy Mayor: Laia Bonet, head of the Area for Ecology, Urban Planning, Infrastructures, Mobility, Public Space and Housing.
- Second Deputy Mayor: Maria Eugènia Gay, head of the Area for Circles of Life, Social Rights, Culture, Sport, Education and Territorial Coordination.
- Third Deputy Mayor: Albert Batlle, head of the Area for Prevention, Security, Coexistence and Internal Affairs.
- Fourth Deputy Mayor: Jordi Valls, head of the Area for Economy, Tax and Economic Promotion.
The district councillors are:
- Ciutat Vella: Albert Batlle
- L’Eixample: Jordi Valls
- Sants-Montjuïc: Raquel Gil
- Les Corts: David Escudé
- Sarrià – Sant Gervasi: Maria Eugènia Gay
- Gràcia: Laia Bonet
- Horta-Guinardó: Lluís Rabell
- Nou Barris: Rosa Alarcón
- Sant Andreu: Marta Villanueva
- Sant Martí: David Escudé
The Mayor also signed the decree naming the chairs of autonomous bodies and public businesses:
- Municipal Institute for Information Technology: Jordi Valls
- Municipal Institute for Tax: Jordi Valls
- Municipal Institute for Education: Maria Eugènia Gay
- Municipal Institute for Markets: Jordi Valls
- Municipal Institute for Urban Landscape and Quality of Life: Laia Bonet
- Municipal Institute for Parks and Gardens: Laia Bonet
- Municipal Institute for Urban Planning: Laia Bonet
- Municipal Institute for Culture: Maria Eugènia Gay
- Municipal Institute for People with Disabilities: Maria Eugènia Gay
- Municipal Institute for Housing and Renovation: Laia Bonet
- Municipal Institute for Sport: David Escudé
- Municipal Institute for Social Services: Maria Eugènia Gay
- Fundació Mies Van der Röhe: Laia Bonet
Albert Dalmau was named as the municipal manager.
