ACCREDITATION OF ORGANISATIONS, A GUARANTEE OF QUALITY
All the programmes and organisations that offer physical and sports activities in the out-of-school sports activities catalogue are guaranteed, by means of an accreditation process. This process makes it possible to certify sports stakeholders that offer these activities (clubs, organisations, AMPAs, teaching centres, sports-management companies, etc.), thereby safeguarding minimum levels of quality for the activities on offer and their contribution to social cohesion, quality of life and the well-being of Barcelona residents.
The accreditation process involves compliance with various requirements, including the following:
- Availability of an educational sports project that reflects the main characteristics of the organisation and its ideas.
- Availability of a written annual activities programme.
- Qualification in Education Management. The person in charge of supervising the technical and educational aspects of the organisation's activities must have the qualifications required by Act 3/2008, concerning the performance of sport professions.
- A sportsperson-monitor ratio that is appropriate for the type of activity and age of the participants, in accordance with the conditions established for each campaign.
- Possession of public-liability and accident insurance policies in accordance with current legislation.
