The eDreams Barcelona Half Marathon by Brooks 2024 breaks the record for participation with 28,000 race bibs sold
Registration for the eDreams Barcelona Half Marathon by Brooks 2024 closed having sold a record number of race bibs - a total of 28,000.
The eDreams Barcelona Half Marathon by Brooks has once again demonstrated how enormously popular it is with runners of all levels. Due to take place on 11 February, registration for the event closed with a total of 28,000 race bibs sold.
This figure represents a new record in terms of participation, with 7,000 more registrations than for the 2023 edition. This makes the eDreams Barcelona Half Marathon by Brooks the half marathon with the highest number of runners in Spain, and the one with the second highest participation in Europe, behind only the Berlin Half Marathon.
The race organisers attribute this success in terms of turnout to several factors, such as the course itself, flat and fast, which encourages runners of all levels to join in, the location of Barcelona, a city with a pleasant climate and bags of history and culture, and also the efforts made by the organisers to make the event a truly exceptional one for all those taking part.
It’s one of the most well established half marathons in Europe. The race, which takes in Barcelona’s main points of interest, is a great experience for any runner who wants to enjoy a quality race in a city like no other.
