During the 27th edition of the B100 Nose Race, organised by Barcelona City Council, several neighbourhoods will experience significant traffic disruption next Wednesday, 31 December, particularly in Ciutat Vella, l’Eixample and Sant Martí.

The 10-kilometre popular race will run through various points along the seafront and the city centre, starting and finishing on Carrer Selva de Mar, and following roads including Passeig Garcia Fària, Avenue Icària, Passeig Picasso, Palau Plan and Avenue Diagonal, among others. At the same time, the international 5-kilometre race will follow a similar route, with some minor variations.

Street closures and traffic restrictions

During the race, vehicle traffic will be prohibited on all roads along the route, except for authorised vehicles forming part of the organisation. Traffic closures will start at 10.00 am, with further restrictions added progressively, especially at 1.00 pm, 3.00 pm, and 3.30 pm, lasting until about 9.00 pm.

The affected streets and avenues are Selva de Mar, Llull, Provençals, Passeig Taulat, Avenue Icària, Marina, Salvador Espriu, Doctor Aiguader, Avenue Marquès de l’Argentera and Passeig Circumval·lació, as well as several other routes. Vehicles that remain parked despite the signage may be clamped or removed by the BSM towing service.

Disruption on the Ronda Litoral

With the start of the popular race, there will also be intermittent closures on the Ronda Litoral (B-10), specifically at exits and entrances 22 and 23 in the Llobregat direction, which may cause congestion on this road.

Parking restrictions

Parking will be prohibited from 7.00 am Tuesday, 30 December, until 9.00 pm Wednesday, 31, on numerous streets along the route area, including pavements with motorcycle parking. From 2.00 pm on 31 December, restrictions will also be introduced on Avenue Doctor Aiguader, in the mountain-bound direction.

Public transport and recommendations

Several bus routes will be diverted or limited between 10.00 am and 8.30 pm as a result of the event. The affected routes include the D20, H14, H16, V13, V15, V17, V19, V21, V23, V25, V27, V29 and V31, as well as routes 6, 7, 47, 59, 120, 136 and 192, and the Barcelona Bus Turístic (red route).

The organisers and Barcelona City Council recommend using public transport, especially the metro, to access the start area, with Selva de Mar station recommended.
