Wheelchair basketball takes centre stage with the 31st City of Barcelona International Trophy
This weekend, on 12 and 13 July, the Espanya Industrial municipal sports centre is hosting a new edition of the City of Barcelona International Wheelchair Basketball Trophy.
This weekend, on 12 and 13 July, the Espanya Industrial municipal sports centre is hosting a new edition of the City of Barcelona International Wheelchair Basketball Trophy, which this year also includes the 14th Joan Palau i Francàs Memorial.
The tournament brings together national teams from Portugal, Bulgaria and Ireland, who will be taking on the Catalan national team, one of the protagonists of the event. Matches will be held throughout the weekend and the tournament can also be followed on the FCEDF YouTube channel, enabling everybody to enjoy the talent and effort of these sportspeople.
The trophy offers a unique opportunity togive visibility to and strengthen adapted sport in the city of Barcelona, and to keep moving towards more inclusive, divers and accessible sport for all.
