The OMIC continues to provide its services to the public electronically and through the 010 phone service. Claims and enquiries will continue to be preferably dealt with online. For those inquiries or complaints that require face-to-face attention, you must make an appointment in advance on the municipal procedures portal ajuntament.barcelona.cat/cita/omic, by calling 010, or at the Municipal Procedures Kiosk.
Distance purchases
According to the Catalan Consumer Agency, “distance purchases are those made without the simultaneous physical presence of the business and the consumer. They are carried out using any distance communication method and as part of a distance contracting system arranged by the business itself.”
Distance purchases include:
- Online purchases
- Purchases by phone
- Purchases outside a commercial establishment
It is worth highlighting that the consumer has a right of withdrawal in all cases, which means that you have 14 days to return the product – or cancel the contract – except in some situations, such as in the case of tailored or custom-made products, perishable products, or products that cannot be reused for hygiene reasons.
