The OMIC continues to provide its services to the public electronically and through the 010 phone service. Claims and enquiries will continue to be preferably dealt with online. For those inquiries or complaints that require face-to-face attention, you must make an appointment in advance on the municipal procedures portal ajuntament.barcelona.cat/cita/omic, by calling 010, or at the Municipal Procedures Kiosk.
Dry cleaners
If you disagree with the establishment regarding any aspect of the service, we recommend that you do not collect the item and that you request the official claim form. If you have not received an answer within 30 days, or if the answer you have received is unsatisfactory, you can contact the OMIC.
On the other hand, if the cleaning service was adequate but the item is damaged due to incorrect labelling, you must address your claim to the seller or manufacturer.
And remember that:
- Prices and surcharges, including taxes, must be stated on a clearly visible sign.
- Advance payment for the service is optional for customers.
- When you leave your garments at the establishment, make sure they give you a ticket proving that you have left them there. This must state the type of service required for each item, and you will have to show it in order to collect the item.
- You have up to three months to pick up the items. You may be charged a storage fee after this time.
- If the cleaning was poorly performed, you can demand a second clean at no cost.
