Before taking out insurance, it is important that you find out about the various offers so that you can compare the cover they each provide and the terms of each company. This will enable you to choose the best insurance for you.
Once you have taken it out, however, in the event of a dispute, you should address your claim to the insurance company. At present, most companies provide an optional protection service for insured parties. In addition, they are required to have a specialist Customer Care Service or Department.
If you do not receive a response within 30 days or the response is not satisfactory, you can either contact the OMIC to make your claim or send it to the Directorate-General for Insurance and Pension Funds.
