Come to Les Corts and discover the Archives

A dramatised visit for getting to know the Les Corts District Archives, and students will learn from an old archivist what the function of the archives is and what documents you can find there. Following the visit, the archivist will take them to a classroom where, once they have been split into four subgroups, they will have to associate various items with the photographs. The activity will end with a tour of the district to understand its history.

Its learning goals are to:

  • Point out the records and services (advice, help with research, etc.) that the Les Corts Municipal Archives offers us for getting to know the district’s historical, geographical and cultural setting.
  • Make use of the municipal Archives and its documentary records.
  • Foster appreciation of a public information, culture and leisure service that is free of charge and open to everyone.
  • Stimulate interest in the district’s historical and cultural heritage.

Educational levels: Middle and upper cycles of primary education and secondary education.

Approximate duration of the activity: 2,5 hours

Price: free.

Bookings: Please call +34 93 291 64 32 or email amdc@bcn.cat
