The “Preparats per tenir cura” (Trained for caring) is a “Canviem-ho” project initiative for including men in care work in a real, equal and committed way. Its aim is to develop positive attitudes and behaviour and make men in Barcelona responsible for care and house work.

“Preparats per tenir cura” aims to influence the work with the general public and our social partners in areas such as health, education, neighbourhood organisation and community plans. It is, therefore, a matter of involving the subjects and stakeholders of our city in recognising, socialising and democratising care from a transformational perspective.

The ultimate aim of the project is to reduce the (poor) social division of care work, based on the distribution of unequal gender roles, and it proposes a commitment from men to care provision.
