Barcelona City Council, through the Barcelona Institute of Sports, has organised this initiative to offer fans the chance to watch the match live at 6 pm.

Barcelona will be setting up a giant screen in Plaça Catalunya for the live broadcast of the final of the UEFA Women’s Champion League 2024, which is being played at the San Mamés stadium in Bilbao on Saturday, 25 May, at 6 pm. The event will enable fans to enjoy the match between FC Barcelona and Olympique de Lyon, a duel generating great expectation.

The 7 x 4 metre screen will be set up in Plaça Catalunya to guarantee optimum viewing of the broadcast.

Commitment to women’s sport

The event is another sign of Barcelona City Council’s commitment to promote women’s sport and give visibility to women’s competitions on an international level. A big screen was set up at the Olímpics Vall d’Hebron Municipal Sports Centre on 20 August last year, to follow the women’s world cup final in Sydney, when the Spanish national team became the world champions.

With this initiative, Barcelona City Council reaffirms its support for women’s sport and its wish to help these events reach the general public.
