The designs represent an aesthetic evolution in the clothing for the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, combining tradition and modernity to reflect the essence of the competition in the 21st century.
This morning, the designs of the five official jerseys for the first edition of the Women’s Tour of Catalonia were unveiled. Innovative, modern designs that will be worn by the cyclists during the competition.
The colours and categories are as follows:
- Green: Overall leader jersey.
- Pink: Mountain leader jersey.
- White: Best young rider in the Volta a Catalunya jersey.
- Green with an image of Catalonia: Most consistent finisher jersey.
- Characteristic colours: Leading Catalan rider jersey.
Ten top-level teams that have already confirmed their participation in the Tour de France Femmes will be taking part.
The competition will consist of three stages, and is due to begin on 7 June, with a 100.6 km route that both starts and finishes in Manresa. This first stage will include two category three passes, El Coll de Pinós and El Coll de Cal Pallarès, with a cumulative elevation gain of over 1,500 metres
The jerseys are a symbol of the pride and determination of the cyclists who will be competing in this first edition of the race, and it is hoped that they will become a benchmark in the world of women’s cycling.
