You can vote for the best out of the 13 projects put forward for this year’s 8 March Award from 17 May to 17 June. The project with the most votes will win the public award, with a prize of €3,000.
Owing to the pandemic, and unlike other years, this year’s voting process for the public award is not possible on the day of the ceremony. Voting will be conducted online using the Decidim platform.
Barcelona’s registered residents aged 14 and over can take part. You must first be registered on the platform to be able to vote. You can do this here.

8 March Award 2021: 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – Let’s democratise care work
The aim is to support projects with a gender, intersectional and social-justice perspective, which put care work at the centre and promote social and community co-responsibility, reduction of inequalities and the empowerment and political participation of women.
In the 8 March Awards there is a single project category and two awards:
- Jury Prize for Best Project, worth €15,000.
- Public Prize for Best Project, worth €3,000.
The voting period for the public award is open until 17June. We encourage you to take part!
Awards ceremony
The awards ceremony, where the Jury Prize and the Public Prize are presented, takes place on 30 June, at 6 pm and can be followed online via the Feminism and LGBTI YouTube channel.
