Journalist and international correspondent. She is one of the most long-standing correspondents on television, where she has worked for 37 years, travelling to more than 160 countries.

She has a Law degree from the University of Barcelona and a Journalism degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She began at the Miramar studios of Ràdio Televisió Espanyola (RTVE) in the 1970s.

In 1983, she requested a leave of absence from RTVE to join the founding team of TV3, where she is the programme director. When she rejoined RTVE in 1984, she accepted the first job as New York correspondent. She later served as a correspondent in Moscow, Buenos Aires, Rome, Vienna, Hong Kong and Beijing. She sent her last reports as a correspondent from the Philippines.

She has received numerous distinctions like the Onda prize for best professional in 2001, the José Couso Freedom of the Press Award and the Journalism Career award in 2016 from the Catalan Women Journalists’ Association. In 2008, she was awarded an honorary PhD from Rovira i Virgili University in Tarragona.
