The purpose of this call is to award the prize, through a competitive process, to develop a multiplatform channel dedicated to communicating and promoting the cultural diversity offered by Barcelona city and its metropolitan area while also fostering cultural trends and audiences within the framework of the Barcelona Sustainable Tourism Plan project, funded by Next Generation - EU.
The procedure for awarding these grants falls within the framework of the European Union's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Next Generation EU (from now on referred to as the RTRP), established by Royal Decree-Law 36/2020, of 30 December, which approves urgent measures for modernising the public administration and for implementing the RTRP; and by Council Regulation (EU) 2020/2094 of 14 December 2020 which establishes a European Union recovery mechanism to support the recovery from the Covid-19 crisis, and is regulated by Regulation (EU) 2021/241 of the European Parliament and the Council of 12 February 2021, which establishes the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
The following are eligible beneficiaries:
- a) Legally constituted companies, entities, associations, and business organisations that specialise in creating, publishing, and distributing content, publications, and products related to culture and leisure, with a particular emphasis on implementation strategies, data management, design, and the usability of online spaces.
- b) Second-level or higher-level entities, meaning organisations made up of legal persons of an associative nature, such as federations, confederations, and unions of associations that bring together a significant number of related first-level or higher-level entities, legally established, with expertise or experience in strategies for creating, publishing, and distributing content, publications, and products related to culture and leisure.
The deadline for submitting applications will be two months following the publication of the notice of final approval of the terms and the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona (BOPB) and on the official website of the Barcelona Institute of Culture.
The forms must be completed according to the instructions provided on the procedures portal, and submitted via the Barcelona City Council’s e-office using the corresponding procedure.
