Barcelona celebrates the 96th edition of the Port Crossing and the 6th City of Barcelona International Open Water Tournament

On Saturday 29 June from 8.30 am, the Moll de Bosch i Alsina will be the setting for one of the most eagerly-awaited events of the year for swimming enthusiasts: the 96th edition of the Barcelona Port Crossing.

A ninety-six year old tradition

The Barcelona Port Crossing is one of the oldest and most iconic competitions in the city, and this year is celebrating its 96th edition. This annual event brings together swimmers of all ages and all levels, from enthusiasts to professionals, in a festive, sporting atmosphere. The races start at 8.30 am when the swimmers set off to swim the various distances.

LEN Open Water and City of Barcelona International Trophy

After the popular races, the competition continues at midday with the 2nd leg of the LEN Open Water, European Aquatics Open Water Swimming Cup. This international event brings together some of the best open water swimmers in the world, offering a world class spectacle. On top of this, swimmers will be competing for the 6th City of Barcelona International Trophy, consolidating this competition as one of the most important on the European calendar.
